The bottle brush can be identified as one of Australia’s most recognisable native plants. It gets its name by it's unusual shape of a brush cleaner. The bottle brush has a vivid red colour with yellow seeds.
The bottle brush belongs to the Myraceae family and a member of the Callistemon, these types of plants require little maintenance and are nearly impossible to kill and can grow in the harsh Australian environment. Most bottle brushes grow in east and south east Australia; they often grow in damp or wet conditions, such as along rivers in a temperate climate. |
